Last updated: July 1, 2026
Webtec is a digital marketing agency based in Montréal, Quebec. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We follow Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, commonly known as Law 25.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out our contact form or send us an email, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to share it, and whatever you write in your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records basic technical data such as your IP address, your browser type, and the pages you view. If you accept non-essential cookies, we also use analytics and advertising tools described below.
We do not ask for or store sensitive information such as payment card numbers, government identifiers, or health data through this website.
Cookies and your consent
Our website uses two kinds of cookies:
- Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. These are always on because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics and advertising cookies, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, help us measure traffic and improve our campaigns. These stay off until you accept them.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Nothing that tracks you loads unless you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- reply to your inquiry and provide the services you ask about
- send you information you request
- understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
- measure and improve our advertising
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business and our website, including:
- Google (Analytics and Google Ads), if you have accepted analytics and advertising cookies
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising), if you have accepted advertising cookies
- our website host, GoDaddy, which stores the site and its server logs
These providers may process data on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States. We share only what is needed, and we expect these providers to protect your information.
Your rights under Law 25
Under Quebec law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- withdraw your consent to analytics and advertising cookies at any time
- ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
- receive your information in a structured, portable format where the law requires it
- file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@webtec.ca.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the tools we use. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, and unauthorized access. If a privacy incident ever creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the CAI as required by law.
Person responsible for protecting your information
Webtec has designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information. You can reach this person with any question or request about your privacy at info@webtec.ca.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If we make an important change, we will make it clear on this page.
